Baby Shower Surprise from Hobbs, NM

Last weekend, we went to a last minute trip to Hobbs, NM.
When we arrived, to our own surprise, Linda's mom threw us a
baby shower. We played some games, ate some food,
and opened presents for little Nathan.

Thanks everyone for the all the gifts.
We appreciate it.

The Crib and Stuff!!

December Doctor Check Up Section
Today we went in for a regular check up.
There was no ultrasound.
We got to hear Nathan's heartbeat.
Heartbeat: 139.
More bloodwork for Linda, this time to test for
any kind of diabetes.
Next doctor's appointment is January 13, 2010.

The Crib Section
Linda picked out a crib online.
We received it yesterday.
Tony put it together while playing the movie,
Big Fish, in the background.

After an hour, the crib was done.

Next thing to do is to paint the room.

Here are some things we got the little guy:

November Belly Shot / Baby Registry

5 months down, 4 more to go.

Nathan Getting Exposed to Music Section
Nathan's been moving a lot.
We've been playing some music to him,
but he seems to be quiet when we do.
Some of the songs were playing to him are:
Sunny by Boney M (we got this from the movie, CJ7,
a movie we love).
Blackbird by The Beatles
Beautiful Boy by John Lennon
and etc.

Baby Registry Section
We registered at Target and Baby's R Us.
You can look it up by our names:
Linda Nunez or Tony Nunez.
Baby's R Us registry number: 44719582.
Anything is welcome except for Winnie the Pooh
and Disney stuff.
We're trying to go for a cute monsters theme
along with cute aliens and robots.
It looks like the baby shower will be in Austin
because one of our local friends, Anita, wants to throw us one.
It will be sometime in January.

Yawning and Kicking!!

This was taken on our last anatomy scan visit on November 3rd.
That day, he weighed 15 ounces. Almost a pound.
Doctor wanted to make sure that there were no abnormalities.
We got to see this little guy yawn.
Why is he so tired??
He ain't doing nothing.
He's slacking off inside Linda's belly.
For the past week, we been feeling his movements from the outside.
Of course, Linda's been feeling his kicks for a while.
Last night, for example, we were watching a movie
and I had my hand on Linda's belly, when all of a sudden
I felt multiple kicks.
This dude wants to come out already or what???
Not yet, we still got 129 days to go.

October Belly Shot

2nd shot of the second trimester.

This past week:
Linda took the Swine Flu Shot.
Baby's Heartbeat: 152
Linda did some blood work and everything
came out okay.

Name Section:
It seems like the name, Nathan, is becoming a household name.
We originally got that name years ago when we saw
Raising Arizona. The main baby's name is Nathan Jr.
We kinda played with that name since.
So I guess we're stuck with Nathan.

Upcoming Stuff:
Nov. 3: 2nd anatomy scan to make sure everything is ok.
Dec. 11: Regular Doctor's Appointment.

It's A "???????"

Today we went for the full anatomy check up.
We also found out the big question.
Is it a boy or a girl????
Here's the video to find out:

After the doctor's, we went to Chuys for lunch.
It was there where we had to make a decision for the name.
The name on here is a name we thought about for 9 years now.
It may not be the final full name, but it's a great possibility.

Baby's Got a Heartbeat!!

Today we went for our third visit.
There was no ultrasound but we got to hear
our baby's hearbeat for the first time.
According to Dr. Cutler, everything is fine.
Linda got a flu shot to protect herself
from all the craziness flu spreading around.
She also gave some blood for some tests.
Here's a short video of our little nugget's heartbeat sound.

Our next visit is on Oct. 23rd.
That is when they do the whole anatomy scan of the baby.

Mr. Peeps and the First Baby Bib

The first and only thing we bought so far for the baby is
this baby bib. Mr. Peeps thought it was for him.
He's gently holding it for his little sister or brother.
We're keeping a close eye on this furry thing.

Linda's Craving of the Day
Pickles.
Go figure, we knew this craving would come someday.

Upcoming Stuff
Our third doctor's appointment is on October 1st.
It will be a regular check-up.
In early November we will find out if it's a girl or a boy.
So be on the lookout for another video on that.
