A Pirate's Life for a Day

Nathan had a pirate theme day this past Sunday.  Daddy had the idea for a while and the time finally came when Nates suggested something for breakfast.

The morning started when Nates asked Daddy to make an "octopus out of weenies and have it in a yellow sea".  Those were his words.  According to Nates, Mommy made this for him before.
So Daddy gave it a shot.

Staring at the Octopus and the Yellow Sea.

The octopus idea turned into a screening of Popeye.  Towards the end, Popeye and
company went to a pirate's cove and there was "treasure."
Pirate's Day is now in effect.

Nates the Pirate grabbed his treasure chest and headed to Micki Krebsbach Pool.

Searching for treasure in all the right places.

"Look at me, look at me!  I'm the captain now!"

Captain Nathan holds no mercy.

The captain slides down and heads towards the water.
Wait, didn't he have his eyepatch on the other eye?
Something's not right.

Attacked by a crocodile but he still has all his limbs and he has both eyes now.

Swimming and exploring the little blue sea searching for treasure.

No treasure was found.  Time to blow this joint.

Cooling off drinking a Blue Ocean Water from Sonic.

Time for The Goonies Pizza and Baby Ruth Feast.

"Hey, you guys!!"
Checking out an awesome scene from The Goonies while playing
the board game.

A Pirate's job is never done.
An evening swim still searching for treasure.

That's the spirit.  Never give up.
The happy pirate has found his GOLD.

The End

And that was pretty much it for this rainy weekend.
Oh yeah, Nates also saw two traditional Father's Day kid movies:

That's it.

Happy Father's Day to all you dads and also moms who do double duty.
